Addicted to God Ministries is a 501C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring lives affected by addiction, homelessness, and life-controlling challenges through recovery, service, and community outreach.
We provide free residential recovery housing, mentorship, and spiritual guidance within structured, Christ-centered environments where individuals are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity, accountability, and purpose.
Our mission extends beyond recovery alone. We believe lasting transformation happens when individuals experience healing while actively serving others.
Through our residential programs participants are supported in developing stability, responsibility, and a renewed sense of identity.

Addicted to God Ministries operates as both a recovery program and an active community outreach ministry. Residents participate in ongoing service initiatives that impact communities throughout Florida, including food distribution and assistance for individuals and families in need.
By engaging in outreach efforts, those in recovery move from receiving help to becoming part of the solution—restoring confidence, compassion, and purpose along the way.

Our homes provide safe, structured, family-style environments built on faith, accountability, and mutual support. Every individual who enters our program is welcomed into a community focused on growth, healing, and long-term success.
All services are provided completely free of charge, ensuring that financial hardship never prevents someone from accessing hope and support.

INTRODUCTION TO OUR 12 STEP PROGRAM
If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction and searching for a real path to restoration, A Place Called Hope Transitioning Home—a residential outreach of Addicted to God Ministries—offers more than sobriety. We offer purpose, structure, and a renewed identity rooted in faith and service.
Founded by Pastor Lazaro Castellon, a former gang leader who battled drug and alcohol addiction for 25 years, this program was built from lived experience, redemption, and a calling to help others break free. Having walked the road from bondage to freedom, Pastor Laz now ministers with compassion, accountability, and unwavering belief that no life is beyond restoration.
Our 12-Step Recovery Model
Our program is a structured 12-week -12 Month residential journey that integrates the principles of the traditional 12 Steps with biblical truth and spiritual growth. Residents work through each step weekly, participating in daily meetings, discipleship, and Bible study designed to address the root causes of addiction—not just the symptoms.
Recovery here is not passive. It is active, intentional, and transformational.
Participants will:
- Identify and confront underlying emotional, spiritual, and behavioral patterns.
- Develop practical relapse-prevention strategies.
- Build healthy routines and accountability habits.
- Grow in faith, character, and personal responsibility.
Purpose Through Service
At Addicted to God Ministries, recovery extends beyond the home. Residents actively participate in outreach efforts that serve communities throughout Central Florida—distributing food, supporting local families, and helping others in need. Serving others restores dignity, builds confidence, and instills a renewed sense of purpose.
We believe healing deepens when individuals move from being helped to helping others.
Life Skills & Leadership Development
Our program equips residents with real-world tools for long-term success:

- Business administration fundamentals
- Financial stewardship
- Leadership and character formation
Each resident is paired with a dedicated mentor, life coach, and accountability leader to ensure personalized guidance throughout their stay.
A Structured, Safe Environment
Located in North Lakeland, Florida—within 45 minutes of Orlando and Tampa—our home sits on 1 acre of peaceful property designed to foster reflection and growth. We currently house up to 12 residents, maintaining an intimate, family-style environment with plans for expansion.
We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for violence, substance use, theft, or disrespect. Weapons, drugs, and alcohol are strictly prohibited. Random drug and breathalyzer testing are conducted to ensure safety and integrity. Visitation is permitted with prior approval.
